When iOS 17 was initially launched in September, one of its new features was inline predictive text. This feature attempts to predict what the user is going to type as they are typing, sometimes with inaccurate results. If the user mistakenly hits the spacebar, the suggested text is automatically added, leading to potential errors in their message. Many users, including myself, found this feature to be annoying. Turning off inline predictive text is a simple process that can be done in just four steps:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
